When you operate a marketplace in a tax jurisdiction where the marketplace is obligated to collect taxes

for certain products or for (electronic) services of its providers, or
on behalf of specific vendors or
on behalf of vendors from specific regions

Examples:

If you operate a marketplace for electronic services in the EU, it is very likely that you are in charge to collect the tax and that you need to purchase the electronic services from your suppliers, in accordance to the EU regulation for electronic services.
It some countries it is likely, that you are in charge to collect tax if you sell products from overseas sellers on you marketplace.
